One of my favorite plays is Lorraine Hansberry’s “A Raisin In The Sun.” One of the truest lines in the play is when Mama tells the neighborhood association rep that they didn’t want to hurt anybody and that we are a simple people. Nothing rings truer when I think about my grandmother and how sometimes, she kept dinner so simple – and it was some of the best food of my life. Today, I’m paying tribute to one of my grandmother’s simplest recipes – buttermilk fried pork chop with homemade coleslaw. Grab the recipes from my site, dariuscooks.TV!
