Chicken 65 is a spicy deep fried boneless chicken dish particularly popular in south India and its origin being Chenai.

Chicken 65 is not only great to taste but also has a very attractive and appealing appearance owing to its bright red colour and also the green curry leaves and green chillies also add to the appeal .
This chicken 65 recipe is made by marinating the chicken with lemon juice ,ginger garlic paste , and aromatic spices like red chilli powder, turmeric, cumin powder, dhania powder etc and preferably allowed to marinate overnight so the fklavours can seep into the chicken. The chicken is then deep fried and kept aside while the Masala for this Chicken 65 is prepared.
The masala is prepared by adding finely chopped garlic,ginger and green chillies to hot oiland followed by some fresh curry leaves and finely chopped onions . To make the Chicken more saucy some tomato ketchup and some soya sauce is added . To make it more spicy we can also add in some more pepper powder at this stage . Add the fried Chicken to the pan and toss well till the Chicken 65 is coated in the masalas well.
Transfer this to a serving dish and serve hot.
