Breakfast is perhaps the most important meal of the day. For many people, it is an inconvenient meal, as consuming it may eat into one’s sleeping time. This jar can help optimize the morning routine by allowing breakfast to be made the night before.
There is a lot of room for creativity in this recipe. What frozen fruit you choose is up to you. If you’d rather use almond butter or some other nut butter in place of peanut butter, try it. Some fruit/nut butter combinations will be excellent and others may be awful, so when in doubt, try to sample the combination before committing to it.
From personal experience, I can say that jars of this sort are generally fine to eat after only a couple of hours in the refrigerator. So they may be enjoyed even by procrastinators.
Makes enough for one person for breakfast; one pint jar.

2 tsp chia seed
1⁄3 cup rolled oats
2 Tbsp milk or cream
1 Tbsp peanut butter (natural preferred)
1 pinch salt
1 cup yogurt
1⁄4 cup frozen fruit
1. Place all the ingredients into the jar in the order listed.
2. Make sure that the milk or cream covers the chia seed.
3. Once all the ingredients are in the jar, screw the lid on tightly and store it in the fridge overnight.
4. Before eating, stir all the ingredients together.
