  1. Hey Derek, huge fan of the channel. I'm curious to know what your thoughts are on using the custom macro target option on Cronometer? I currently use a 30:45:25 split, and I've noticed that my daily protein target starts at 134g. If I do any exercise and my watch updates the amount of calories burned in the app, that number soars even higher to near 200g! Should I just stick to the fixed targets or should I pound back the protein as the app suggests? I burn at least 600 calories daily from either hard 4-5 mi. runs or HIIT workouts (in addition to just normal movement) and I hardly ever hit the protein goals. I'm not necessarily looking to get HUGE, but I'm certainly not gaining much muscle, and most days (even though I don't hit the protein goals stated by the app), I'm pretty sure I'm getting even more in than you do. Any thoughts?

  2. Great there's some healthy stuff in that diet! 🙂 It's a great point to make that everyone needs a different amount of calories, people do have different weights, heights, builds and goals.

  5. Started watching this while eating a salad and got up and made the dressing – tastes 10x better 🙂 Another great way to add protein to meals is with sprouts (e.g. mung beans and lentils). They're super easy to prepare and the sprouting process also makes the other nutrients more bioavailable. Would have been great to see you at Toronto VegFest last week!

  7. Man, so much arugula!! You inspired me to pick some up. Made a smoothie….a salad… have to say… i think arugula is an acquired taste. 😂😂😂 back to spinach for me.

  9. Derek much love from Maryland. What's your opinion on artificial sweeteners and gut health? I've heard Jeff Nippard say they're perfectly healthy, but I feel like that can't be true. What's the truth?! Thanks for what you do, you've inspired me to go and stay plant based
